to eat the night

Topic:
abstract
|
the hiss
of whispers
but each
word a
silent bullet
offering
excuses
hard thoughts
are held
in lower-case
minds.
so, still
chewing,
with swallows
of dark
rain.

I can relate to this poem. This is why I hate clicks. |

I find it funny, though, sometimes when the gossip is about oneself and it makes it all around the loop, back to you and has no ring of truth.
"But each word a silent bullet offering." Love that!
Thanks,

A fine piece. Nice employment of space to purpose.
