Summer

Contributed by Archie on Monday, 7th September 2015 @ 11:50:46 PM in AEST
Topic: SongLyrics

I remember sitting at the beach
With you being close to me
Writing words whilst boys and girls
Were frolicking nicely
Maybe it was my view of things
In the things I saw back then
I didn’t need too much else
Because you were my closest friend

Summer, Summer. Please come back to me
Summer, Summer. Please come back to me

Now the cold is beating down my door
As you warm another’s heart
Leaving me shut into my home
Why did you have to depart
Are you now with another boy
Sending warm breezes to him
When will you come back to me?
Snow is blocking out my spring

You know you drive me crazy
With your warm sands beneath my feet
And your warm breath upon my face
Telling me how you love me

Summer, Summer. Please come back to me
Summer, Summer. Please come back to me

Guess I’ll just wait right here
For my friend to return
I must calm myself and know
That this winter shall be spurned
And you and me once more
Shall be inseparable
With blue skies and calm seas
As I write songs about you

Until then. . .(You'll hear me sing)

Summer, Summer. Please come back to me
Summer, Summer. Please come back to me
