Having a bad day.

Contributed by Archie on Sunday, 6th September 2015 @ 04:06:32 AM in AEST
Topic: SadPoetry

One hundred percent, does not equal 100%
When it comes to love and righteousness
Oh how I wish it did, that would make sense
But giving is killed by selfishness

And I wonder how long I will last
Before I too will give in
Taken by excuses and apologies
Held up by a remnant

I wonder how long before fists pound in
And tears line walls when love is beset
How long before liars with consciences rent
Visit me as I have done to them

But alas I see what is happening
They'll say I'm wrong for writing this
And call me to some higher goal
That they themselves would never tread

Everyone says I'm doing well
Though my words to them are otherwise
Maybe what they say is true
but true friends are hard to come by

What I feel is a combination of what happens to me in life and the goals I am called to
Take this poem as you will

no matter what someone says, one puts it out for others to see, and though they may even mean well, their connection to it is maybe far from complete.

I like this poem immensely. It can seem almost impossible to understand someone else's love.
Parents can be sadly reminded of this.
I think righteousness calls out for empathy, deep thought that is sometimes is seemingly hard to reach.

So I say, thank you for sharing it.

Peace!

Great write.
We all get these kind of days.
Just before you give up, you find another sincere person that restores your faith in mankind.

James
