You To Hold

Contributed by jamesstockdale on Friday, 4th September 2015 @ 12:38:32 PM in AEST
Topic: Lifepoems

Remembering the glory days of old
That together
We once shared
Our spirits were high
Days were long
Full of fun
We had life on the run
Even though we were so poor
We had so much to look forward to
And adore
Empty pockets
Void of gold
It mattered none
As long as I had
You to hold

That is the feeling this conveyed to me. Short, simple, great!!!
