Ultimate healing

Topic: InspirationalPoems

Please don't be sad
When I tell you my story
It has plenty of darkness
But also glory

I grew up
In a home that was broken
What I've endured
Is what will be spoken

From dealing with abuse
To starting to self harm
The scars are a story
That is written on my arm

It's a reality
That I deal with depression
So lets take a look
Into my minds session

I have been raped
Multiple times
My thoughts overwhelm me
So I put them into rhymes

Dealing with suicide
Is a daily fight
It seems so easy
To give into the night

What takes strength
and the ultimate power
Is to be able to stand tall
In the darkest hour

Asking for help
There is no shame
Nothing I've been through
Am I to blame

I've cried by myself
No one heard the silent screams
Sometimes I wish
These were just horrible dreams

I know that there not
And that this is my life
Who could blame me
For grabbing that knife

With all the heartache
and through all of the pain
I finally figured out
What I have left to gain

I was left on earth
To shed some light
About unspoken emotions
Dealing with this fight

Suicide is not funny
Mental illnesses are no joke
Don't forget we're people
And we're not completely broke

We have feelings
Just like the rest
We know we have problems
We don't need a test

What we do need
Is support and understanding
Don't tell us to get over it
And don't give us a branding

We have a hard time
Expressing what we are feeling
Sometimes we just need love
It's the ultimate healing

A sad but beautifully written poem.
Full of emotion and obvious angst.
The world can be such an ugly place for some of us. A challenge to survive and be heard.

Suicide helps no one and never betters any situation. When times get tough just tell yourself you're going to stick around and ruin the lives of those that are ruining yours. Sweet revenge you are for never letting them forget what they have done to you. Such a child as yourself with beautiful expressions such as yours can never be denied.

Today is the beginning of your new life. Cherish it
as we cherish you.

God Bless You.

James

You know, I wish you all the best, and I mean no disrespect, but I think there's a side to the "Suicide's not funny" or "rape isn't funny" that is worth noting. I'll only share that if you ask it of me though.

Your rhymes follow suit and flow quite well, and you give a dim, yet bright via contrast reminder of what it's like to rise and begin that fight out of the darkness of misfortune. I hope they do nothing but get brighter for you.

Nicely done. :)

Great job letting people know they are not alone.

'When the storms of life are pressing inward
You don't have to be so insecure
You're not alone'

Excerpt from 'You're not alone'
