Fear

The fear to lose control of your life,
The fear to be forced a knife,
The fear of losing your wife,
The fear of being chained behind bars,
The fear of your abyss having no stars,
The fear of making what’s yours, ours,
The fear of being locked for years,
The fear of not even controlling your tears,
The fear that lights all fears.

The fear of the unknown,
The fear of being in their zone,
The fear of what might come after that groan,
The fear that stops your progress,
The fear that shackles your chest,
The fear that will make you guess,
The fear that makes you reject,
The fear that makes you wrecked,
The fear that you’ve always checked.

The fear that makes you cry,
The fear that never says bye,
The fear that makes you never try,
The fear that’s needed to live,
The fear that will make you drive,
The fear that makes you alive,
The fear that comes from instinct,
The fear that makes us never extinct,
The fear that comes in one instant.

The fear of disappointment,
The fear that comes in a moment,
The fear that they pointed,
The fear that makes you sad,
The fear that makes you mad,
The fear that you once had,
The fear that brings suffering,
The fear that blocks everything,
The fear that you wish was bluffing.

The fear that’s worse than poverty,
The fear that rubs you off your property,
The fear that brings mockery,
The fear that will hit rock-bottom,
The fear that blurs out autumn,
The fear that makes you blossom,
The fear that’s never fair,
The fear without a stair,
The fear that gives all a share.

The fear of being ignored,
The fear that opens what’s stored,
The fear that’s sharper than a sword,
The fear of not being noticed,
The fear of it being the closest,
The fear that pulls you to your lowest,
The fear of being the cause,
The fear that sets its own laws,
The fear that reaches with claws.

The fear of being laughed at,
The fear of trying to chat,
The fear that the ceiling is flat,
The fear of a man’s answer,
The fear from the dancer,
The fear that’s a lancer,
The fear of an opinion,
The fear of everyone the being a minion,
The fear of being dragged into their dominion.

The fear that makes us follow,
The fear that will never swallow,
The fear that will make you wallow,
The fear that comes from reasons,
The fear that haunts the seasons,
The fear that makes our heart filled with treasons,
The fear that controls,
The fear that has many roles,
The fear that will cling to your goals.

The fear of disappearing,
The fear of leaving,
The fear of not breathing,
The fear of what comes next,
The fear that makes us vexed,
The fear that questions a text,
The fear of dying alone,
The fear of memories becoming a crumbled stone,
The fear that it will take away your thrown.

The fear that stops all races,
The fear of facing the faces,
The fear of having no traces,
The fear that turns work to naught,
The fear that everyone fought,
The fear that has it’s plot,
The fear that makes us crazy,
the fear that makes us lazy,
The fear that is so hazy.

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
