Winds Of Change

Contributed by blknwht on Saturday, 29th August 2015 @ 07:54:00 PM in AEST
Topic: FriendshipPoetry

The winds of change are upon me
I can feel it in my soul
For I have recently met someone
I call her "Beautiful Soul"

On my mind, all the time
I'm wishing she was near
She makes me feel so good inside
Around her I have almost no fear

We shared our secrets late at night
Underneath a moon so bright
With the waves of the ocean crashing high
I just loved the look that was in her eyes

She accepts me for who I am
I accept her all the same
It's evident that neither of us
Are here to just play games

The conversation at times were deep
And at times we just laughed in the rain
Then there were talks of successes
And of course there were talks of extreme pain

At the end of it all her Beautiful Soul
Shined brighter than the Sun
I never expected anything less
I really had some good fun

It was nice feeling normal again
Even for that short while
I know when we parted ways
We both had on a huge smile

I laughed all the way home
As I surly did feel great
I kept laughing and laughing
Wishing I didn't hesitate

For what I wanted to do
As I walked her to her door
Was to pull her so incredibly close
That we'd both feel like we melted to the floor

Until next time when I see her again
Until that time of perfect Zen
I will continue to embrace the winds of change
Knowing that her Beautiful Soul doesn't see me as strange

Zen is a great spiritual word
in defining this poem.

there's a connection there between
a voice and another voice

there's this term life, the term life itself
which is biological
And there's this other more powerful
less understood connection
called the soul

this is beautiful writing because
it must come from something that is true

Thanks for sharing something that
likely came easy to you - that's how
great writing flows I'm sure
Peace!

"I think of you every morning
I dream of you every night
Darling I'm never lonely
When ever you are in sight"

Excerpt from 'Sentimental Reasons' by Nat King Cole

Your poem greatly reminds me of this, one of my favorite songs.

This, simply put, is a beautiful poem and I can relate to it a lot.

Thank you for sharing.

Tim
