Broken

Contributed by Natkingcole on Thursday, 27th August 2015 @ 02:43:07 PM in AEST
Topic: LovePoetry

If you like, I could fumble with my pen,
breath deep and try to etch my heart on
this slip of paper.

If you like, you could peer over my shoulder,
peek through your veil and study the careful
markings left wet.

If you like, I could sit for days, hunched
like a wounded creature and cease sleep
to make your fondness eager.

If you like, you could put on your satin,
make a bow of you hair and come dancing
with me in the blue light.

If you like, I could come out from this cave,
let the sun light melt my shadow and burn
my thin image onto your shallow eyes.

If you like, we could sit in fear, create lies
to appease and succor and remain together
apart; broken, broken, broken.

Very very very well written. The imagery depicts the title perfectly. I really like this one

Great poem
It catches many emotions and it's unexpected in its ending.

The choices that you put made it sad, but overall it was a really good poem :)
