I'm done saying who I am
Because I haven't figured that out yet
I'm a fatal contradiction
Made of nothing
I'm made of nothing
Nights that you boil me alive
I'm reminded
I have no self with solid corners
I hold onto that thought and
Drive myself into a city made of nothing
With a population of me
Trying to find that person
I'm reminded that I need to run
To find myself
But on days like those
You drape me under the white sheet of existence
And I fall for it every time

I think instead of trying to say or find out who one is, one should simply be. Live life, because until you do the things that make you happy and thus feel alive, you're not going to know what else there is you can do to feel alive, because you haven't felt that way yet.
I could be wrong though. I partially feel like that and similar means, but I often ignore them.
I get a few lines in particular, but through the means of interpretation. I don't know what it means to be boiled alive, or to have white drapes under a person, unless it's in the sense of sunlight, then it seems that the narrator/you is upset with their god. :o |
