I hope that it won't be too far
For I know
You put too much trust in me
But I try
To make that honorable for you
And when I let you down

With love within our hearts exclaiming
As we strive here to remain
In a world of dark with light enduring
For the task we have is great

To be strong
So for now
While I am at this height

Our best before tomorrow

I may not relate to this right now, but there are times I do, and when we have ourselves a downfall, whether it's to be expected or occurring, there's herein the reminder that we should remember when on that other side, that regardless of that fall any of us and all of us go through, that they tried their best, as nobody wants to fall for fun when so much is at stake. I have to say with that in mind, for our loved ones to do and be their best is one of the few things we ask of them, and that is honorable, and so is our support of them.
I think we should all be able to relate to that sentiment, and I think that's what is being referred to here in the second set of lines. It's an interestingly rare discussion. Thanks for that. :) |
