We proselytize via pontification
Expediating the alleviation of trepidation
Distinction in rhetoric
And callous perpetuation
Of "Ignortainment"
Culling of hopes intrinsic
An enigmatic cry of justice
From an unattended landfill
Your emotions! Your beliefs!
They now become my kerosene!
I distort the lines between ally and foe,
After my acts, you'll have none left which to go
God one side and leader on another,
Not right-hand men, but tools with which to smother
I laugh, I cry, I scream, I dream, surely you can't reject
The notion that I'm human, just look at my intellect
You can't deny my rights, that's pure negligence!
Never mind the mysterious case of global pestilence!

I always think that somehow politicians are a race apart from the rest of us.
We are constantly beguiled, bemused and smoke-screened by their rhetoric and perhaps that will never change.
It is the nature of things.
