The Mule
The mule when young doesn’t jump
about like a daft colt, born dull and
serious to a life of drudgery it has
no sense of fun. Horses and donkeys
bond with man this hybrid does not.
In dark eyes smouldering bile seeking
impotent revenge by kicking if it ever
gets a chance. Worst of all, the mule
knows it’s a freak of nature denied
the joy of reproduction and that makes
it such a sad and bitter creature.

I enjoyed this write of yours. I appreciated the sentence:"denied
the joy of reproduction and that makes
it such a sad and bitter creature. ". I had never heard mules could not reproducte. Thanks for sharing this. Yellowrose.
