|
she’s flying out tomorrow,
across the open skies
leaving me behind
with her distance in my eyes
I can’t cling any tighter,
or hold her to my track
once she sets her mind,
there is no turning back
some days I question who I am,
some nights I wonder why
when all that is dear to me
is lost to bluer sky
but she holds me with a whisper,
the words that slowly burn
I’m flying out tomorrow,
but know I will return.
