On Yonder Star
You’re always my heart
So beautiful and sweet
After all this time
My heart still skips a beat
I still feel your love
Each time you look into the sky
I see the passion
Twinkling in your eye
How often I have wondered
Just what we might have become
Would we have grown apart
Or found heaven as some
But God called my name
I was compelled to leave
You were left alone
In sorrow to grieve
But God in HIS mercy
Allows me to sit on yonder star
Lets me feel your presence
And love you from afar
So every night I watch over you
Until the morning light
Sprinkling you with stardust
Laughing with delight
We swore our love forever
No matter where we are
My promise survives
On yonder star
