A POETIC MOON

Contributed by hray42 on Friday, 31st July 2015 @ 07:00:33 PM in AEST
Topic: MiscPoems

a poetic moon looms full in the night sky
casting shadowed parcels of mystery
impressions transformed by the wind
creating moments of limited history

silhouettes scare from out of the darkness
so that light beams may lead them away
the ending, like the end of a story
will appear when these hours meet the day

standing vigilant is that late watchman
with an eye on all he stands over
waits in silence for the dance of the dancers
waits in silence for the return of October

it is of this object that i dream of the most
some of those dreams becoming prophetic
and when i leave here to move myself onward
another will write of that moon so poetic...

I have been gone from YPDC for a bit and I came back to find some more wonderful works of art. The words you penned here are magnificent.
