Bodied

Topic: sarcasticpoetry

Selling quicker than hot cakes
Disembodied souls; mind the gap
Pawn themselves to compensate
For impotence to captivate
Like that dentist; bait the trap

A buzz you want to generate
Chicken heads noisily flap
Bomb dropped that didn't detonate,
Next time you should delegate,
Hire a ghost writer for your rap

Words too slow to formulate
Need a charge? 'Cause you're lacking zap
Meek verse didn't devastate
Your worth quickly depreciates
You're body bagged- it's a wrap.

Sort them out. Bag them up, and poetically discharge them!

Fame lasts five seconds, failure follows us forever.
"Next time you should delegate, words too slow to formulate"
We are all haunted scorp, by what we did; what we didn't; and endless hope for what might be.
This speaks of the speed of life; the door slam of death; and poof! It's over!
Keep the message coming--we'll get it!

You got a beef, I gotta (w)rap,
Cheese, please, sneeze & wheez, Jeebs.
My mistake, it's cake, Jake, it's sorta fake.
Pounding, founding, astounding, Scorp, corp.
Cranium, stadium, there aint no explainin'
Why cry with a banana in my eye?
Cause I be lovin' the scribbles abovin.

Mine makes absolutely no sense but I aint erasin it!!!! *inserts harrumph emote here*

I'm so tired I can't even think.

Pauses...

Leaves room. Pets Terra. Pet's Loki. Comes back.

Looks at monitor. What is this gibberish?!?!

I still can't get pass disembodied souls. That is sorta scary and then simultaneously really sorta cool. Scary because, if those souls are from people that are still alive, another soul can step in!!!! That's scary *****!!! You gonna be dead if that happens unless Buffy & Scoobies step in. Speaking of, it just hit me. Buffy & the Scoobies and then Sarah Michelle Gellar goes and stars in a Scooby Doo movie. Huh? *queues X-Files music*

I think they said another person killed that lion, or am I thinking of something else?

I haven't gotten "that kind of" buzzed in years!!!

And what the ***** is chicken heads noisily flap??? lol...that freaked me out! What the hell?!?!?!!!

Oh, man, I'm body bagged? Okay then, I'm doo doo doing from the great beyond. It's weird because I feel like I'm still alive but very tired. Plus my back hurts.

*whine whine whine*

Oh a oh! :p

My gibberish. I came back to read this and then looked at that comment and it may look as though I was calling your poem gibberish, so I needed to clarify. I am not calling your poem gibberish. My comment on the other hand...

I'm guessing that this is a response to the Drake v. Meek Mill battle. I didn't hear Drake's response of a battle, but I loved that Meek's response was "Baby lotion soft XD".

If this isn't then I don't know just who would be the target of the narrative, but I will say, I liked the mention of the dentist, considering it took me a second read-through to get everything at once and fluidly so. Then I did an internal "Ooooooh!" lol

Yeah I can't see anything other than the Meek and Drake thing, which I don't like either artist, but can certainly enjoy poetic and fun sing-songyness of rap.

So if there is another meaning besides that feud, please tell me, cause this is too good not to know. :)

The intoxicating mix of words you bind together never ceases to amaze and inspire.
If you've ever written a mediocre piece then I've certainly never seen it.
