Black seas of beams and vines
Within all their grasps are souls entwined
One lone point focal
Not yet vocal
Souls climb! They yearn to rise!
Escape! This looming gripping demise!
Caught and held by ankles, neck and head.
Rash rebellion may leave one dead.
Explosions of light discover!
The act of truth's boisterous lovers.
The seeds, the plants, it all stands out.
Now what's needed, is a rallying shout.

Wow! Some vivid imagery going on in this piece...I am curious what inspired it? I always love the abstract twist you give your writes. Good job.

I really like it.......
Freeing oneself from the dark.
Gives one hope!
Well written! |

This is good (the rhyme is a bit forced) I do that too; I look too hard for the right word only to find the nonrhyming one is perfect. |
