My heart skips a beat every time I hear
you come near
I shake with fear
How much do you know?
How much of me
The true me
Do you see?
I couldn’t bear
For you to know
The pain I endear
The blood I make flow
I’m sorry I’ve lied
Told you everything’s okay
When truly deep down
I hate every day
I’m sorry I’ve pulled back
Out of your reach
I’m sorry I’ve lost track
I’ve fallen from the bridge
When everything is wrong
When I’ve given up hope
I never reach for you
I know you wouldn’t cope
Please understand
I’m doing this for you
Your innocent is priceless
I’m sorry you never knew
I’m sorry I draw back
Every time you take my hand
But now I’m lost
And I can’t be found
It’s safer to keep
Away from me
Than to see
What I really see
You don’t know what
Kind of hurt I’m going through
I’m sorry if this hurts you
But everything, it’s all true
One day I’ll show you
A part of this reality
But you’re safer for now
In your own fantasy

It was written a long time ago.. or at least it feels like it.. to my mum, who i love so much, but now it's all too late - she knows nearly everything now, and we're getting so far apart.. i've never felt like this before, we've always been so close...
