I'm Meant to?

Contributed by Northernlights on Tuesday, 30th June 2015 @ 04:18:12 PM in AEST
Topic: Lifepoems

It's so quiet.

The neatness of the room resounds
Solitude, the storm has gone and relief
Has blown in, but now it's just so quiet?

Far away from the hustle and bustle
time has put my feet into a pool
Of reflection.

Soft light and familiar
Features,I listen to Nature breathe.

In weakness life has become soft
A gentle cocoon, and butterfly wings
Fold,

I like my cocoon,I'm meant to
Feel the pull of life back to normality
And yet with Nature I breathe and

It's oh so Quiet.

Sounds wonderful.
I'm a farm child - give me the quiet of nature any day.
Great write.

Great poem.
Reminds me of the last few days here in MD.

You're meant to:

Just sit back, relax, and revel in your solitude.

Wrap yourself up in yourself and think of yourself and no one else.

----

Peaceful, restful, breathe in, breathe out, and heal thyself.

I can definitely relate to this peaceful
poignant piece. Sometimes you just
want to escape in nature's wonder like
being in an uncrowded tropical beach
or walking alone in the lush forest.
Sometimes you need that. I think
you reminded us how to just be human
and live a peaceful, quiet, and stress free existence,
away from the everyday work environment, high tech gadgets,
and other distractions that prevent us
from being our true primitive selves.

In essence, everyone needs that quality
time to themselves and reflect on their own lives
instead of judging everyone else.

That's what I got out of your poem,
thank you for this. Great write!

This was very calming to read. I am familiar with the feelings this drew out for me and it makes me wish to be out in the calm away from society to listen just to natures breath.
Thank you for sharing.
