The River

Contributed by shanat on Saturday, 27th June 2015 @ 05:57:18 AM in AEST
Topic: spiritual

There was still light on the horizon
Long after the sun had set, And
All I can hear are the birds singing between light showers of rain, And
A unique voice pulsing,
"This is not the right time...right time...time
you must go back...go back...back"
After what seemed an infinite journey across time
I have been touched by something which defy's description in mortal words.

Inspiration keep calling I can almost see you
This sad lonely feeling won't leave me
Like the rest of us looking for an answer
Is there something you don't want me to see?
The River to narrow it down
Seems bent on to draw a line in the sand
Like when we meet in dreams
You skim across water, I drift across the land.
My emotions had a hard time catching up, and
The shallowness of conversations soon ran deep
Try to use my eyes to say don't hurt me
As frogs back flip and dive into the creek.
Something else was at work here, And
Was it really that long ago?
I've never seen someone choke up like that before, So
I put on a brave face and let it all go!
I lost count of how many rivers flowed into my life
Seems they all have some wisdom to share
They spoke to me here
And my subconscious over there. (Cannot take sides)
The unsupported middle ground, With
A different kettle of fish so loyal
My oldest and happiest memory I found, So entranced
I put the kettle in the fridge to boil.

Breaking new ground
My comfort zone now drifts endlessly
Straight under a tree into a spider web..ARRRGH!
Where's that spider get it off me!!...
Finally...
Suffering from de-ja-vu
We sail over the sand-hill to the sunrise reefs
To something I could not comprehend
Which challenged all my beliefs!.

RAINFOREST AHEAD
No doors, no torches, no keys
No light, no noises, no fees
One way in, one way out
Undiscovered, undisturbed
Something to think about!
It's a place where we meet
A place where we can rest
It's a place where we can sleep
But silence,
Silence does the rest.
