CASTLES BY THE BAY

i need a bird to fly me home
where there are castles by the bay
i no longer feel a need to roam
now replaced by a need to stay
i wish to be out on that shore
and sleep beneath that bluest sky
this little bird to hear me snore
this little bird to help me die
carry me far my feathered friend
for i am weary and with wound
accompany me to the very end
then rest yourself upon my tomb
nothing's as pretty as the castles there
the ones that reach to the bay
where the sunset, and sea sprayed air
will call an end to my final day...

Ooh a strangely haunting and seductive sort of longing and either depression or terminal injuries. Either way I like the feeling, a little unnerving, but soothing at the same time. :) |

This is my favourite part. Nice poem. After reading a couple of yours I think I'll go read some more. You're a good poet |
