Today is a sad day
another loved one gone, leaving us in tears
All of the memories kick in
flashbacks of everything over the years
A father and son
joined together in the heavenly sky
Together again in peace
watching over us as we cry
We cry tears of love
from feelings deep within the heart
We hate to see them go
but on this day we had to part
Dear daddy and dear brother
we truly miss you so
One day we will be together again
when the good Lord says it’s also our time to go
Until that time comes
just know you’re in our thoughts every day
We will ask the Lord to take care of you
every time we pray
