Swollen fingers pick at a blemish,
A scab forms,
Broken skins shows what's inside,
blood hardening,
Protecting its Anima,
This pulsating appendage
Aches,
Pry at this shell,
Pain resumes,
Dazed by cowardice,
Iron in my blood
Did not make me strong,
Comfortable,
But twisted,
Maybe if I showed more Crimson,
It would come to show
The human I sought to be.

I like this poem. I tend to pick at scabs and perhaps your poem explains why, to an extent. Nice |
