Blue Moons

Contributed by unknown_utopia on Friday, 19th June 2015 @ 12:17:21 AM in AEST
Topic: selfstruggles

In the distance
I hear the thunder rumble
the curtains in my window flutter
as a gust of wind comes rushing in,
the pain starts again
as thoughts of self doubt seep out
I sigh
and then it starts to rain.

Depression won't let me be
Inner-visions of gloom keep me dazed,
people come and go
the faces change
but
the feeling is the same
as I wander life's maze.

I am the wreckage
of a unknown zero,
forever getting back up
after being broken.
There are times
when my soul is whole
but it never last...
in the mirror I watch my face crack
as I relapse
and fall again.

Lightning flashes
and it's storming now
tears fall in slow motion
as I emotionally drown....

So sad, but with a hint of hope in the line 'forever getting back up after being broken'.
I hope you keep getting back up.

Cheers,
Mickey.

Wonderfully expressed. Just keep getting back up- you got it. Depression will slice you here and there, but don't let it bleed you dry.

Good to see a new post from you. Keep on trucking.

Just remember to get back up and punch depression in the gut. It doesn't like that.

I should talk, though, I had one of those type days today. That first stanza was very reminiscent of my day. So, I can definitely relate.

At least you can write about it...and very well I might add. Good stchuff.

There's always someone that loves ya'...maybe even if you're not aware of it yet.

Keepa writin', it helps.

Tim

I've never experienced such emotions on a personal basis, but I'm close to those who have. It is so widespread in this mad, modern world, especially among young people. When they should be experiencing the wonder of youth, they are lost to depression and anxiety. Very well expressed here, and good luck to you in your fight with that black cloud.
