Extended hands shunned,
Welcoming's met with scorn,
Reaching for clouds,
Still nothing to grasp on,
Only a sense of distance,
Flipping pages,
Falling through years of gratitude,
Chances passing by,
A blur,
All gone,
All alone.

I love this. Verging on minimalist, but retaining such clarity as is always hard to achieve. If I had one critique it would be only to remove then 'on' in the fourth line. Beautiful write! |
