A Sea

How could they not see it?

I could see it then and I knew it all along
Then how could I be wrong
I saw it through the smoke and mirrors, through the mask she had put on
I Heard it through the crowd as a kind of silent song
And I fell, I fell so fast, as the rushing scene came
Rushing around me, spinning true
It happened so fast, out the blue
we spoke and laughed, I felt it then
I dove straight in on impulse, on a whim
I drowned because I couldn’t swim
Her currents where to strong
By Her torrents wildly I was swept along
Before I knew it I was gone
Crashing this way and that way blown by the wind
How was I to know beneath her calm
Of the undercurrent whirling rushing
Of the vicious storm brewing
How cold her waters would be
Of the wild rushing waves, of a storm inside a sea
I let her waters swallow me
On impulse I dove in and I dove deep, I drowned and sunk to what’s beneath
Now the waters calmer that I’ve sunk deep beneath the surface
I drowned in her on impulse (some would say on purpose)
Now the storm has settled and its not so vicious
And let me be the first to tell ya {and how i knew it all along)
Drowning has never taste so delicious

WOW! I was swept up in your words and thrashed about by the feral sea. Great flow, with vivid imagery and emotionally driven feeling to capsize the reader. Well done.
