Notoriously Miserable

Describing me,
Is a fallacy when I am only
Pieces on the ground,
Walking where the light is fair
Is comforting but never truly sound
To my liking,
Inflate my fabrication but never
Learn that I was forever bound,
All I see is an eternity
Of nothingness that only seems to run around
In circles...
Turn on the TV and you will see
People that are empty just like me
But they don't know
How to let go
Of the pretentious feelings and vile hypocrisy
Yet they hold on to notoriety.

It took me a few reads of this work to get it's proper cadence down.. After that, I did enjoy it well.. Notorious.. A great way to describe some past leaders of countries (I will not allow them "world" leaders).. That term world leader is not reserved for the barbaric.. It's funny what people will hold onto to have it seen their way.. I enjoyed your poem.. Take care... |
