The Raging Volcano That Erupts ....

 photo Volcano Hawai_zps4me2xpng.jpeg

From deep in the bowels of your soul
Like molten lava in the earth's core
The anger brews from just a small spark
Curdling boiling looking for a way out
Pushing up through cavities and cracks in your foundation
The pressure and heat mounting
People biting, *****, pushing you closer and closer
Approaching the surface smoke and soot oozing out
Then their red flags go up
Every one scrambles this way and that way
Finally your veins bulge and you erupt
Foul language bursts out your mouth
Flooding the ears of those around you
Burning and scaring the landscape of their emotions
Long after the eruption
They're still in shock of the devastation
As time goes by the scars are covered
By kind words and even kinder deeds
But only covered not taken away
The landscape of their lives are changed, permanently
Unlike the raging volcano that erupts without warning
We humans should and could if we want to
Control our anger, suppress it and deny it
The satisfaction of scaring those we know and love
For time does not heal but only masks

People are far more cruel than a volcano. In fact, volcano's are devoid of emotion. Sadly, people are not and will still hurt, even knowing they are causing hurt.

You did well expressing the pain of stupid human anger. It's as irrational as a volcano's eruption IS rational.

Best,

Invierno

Love the analogy. Great stuff here.

It was a long time ago and I can't remember exactly what he said or how he said it, but George Carlin said that one day the earth will throw up and kill mankind for taking such bad care of her.

I always imagined that "throw up" would be volcanoes consuming mankind for our misdeeds.

Thanks for a great post.

Tim
