they love each other,
between the needle and the pipe
and the arguing over money,
the scores and the hype.
he’ll complain about her skin
and call her a slag;
she’ll abuse him up street and lane
as he rummages through her bag,
looking for cash or a little puff—
for some the gutter isn’t
far enough.
he swears he will give up,
just look into his pin-prick eyes!
then rides the line to oblivion
as next to him she dies.

Well written, and intense. I definitely enjoyed this. My favorite things were the pin-prick eyes, the gutter isn't far enough for some, and the last stanza as a whole. Very strong.
