Six seconds by m.n.i.w

Topic: Lifepoems

Six.
Six seconds of a pain you never felt until this moment.
Six once in a lifetime chances you chose to resent.
Six seconds to recollect on life through reminiscence.
Six people who have blessed your life with their presence.
Six seconds to inhale and exhale for the final time, until your soul goes where it's destined.
Six seconds is just not enough.

Five.
Five seconds of trying to grasp life in a mere instance.
Five seconds to recollect on life through reminiscence.
Five times you gave your heart in courtesy.
Five seconds to inhale and exhale for the final time, until you R.I.P.
Five seconds is just not enough.

Four.
Four seconds to recollect on life through reminiscence.
Four times you broke her heart and failed to replenish.
Four seconds to inhale and exhale for the final time, until your life is finish.
Four seconds is just not enough.

Three.
Three seconds to recollect on life through reminiscence.
Three times you could not forgive the world and seeked revenge with vengeance.
Three seconds to inhale and exhale for the final time, until the exit becomes your entrance.

Two.
Two seconds to recollect on life through reminiscence.
Two seconds is just not enough.

One.
One second to recollect on moments that will never...

While traveling through this journey called life, there's one important thing to realize. The life you were given can be taken away in mere seconds. With that being said, one must appreciate time and master its relevance. Some moments come once in a lifetime. Some never prosper. The moral is to just live life without regret. And make sure the moments that you do live are ones you will never forget.

interesting poem for sure...
in seconds, just a few in the many, certainly everything
can change, at first perhaps for the bad, but on later in reflection maybe not.
The eyes open up wide in seconds, time slows to a snails pace perhaps. All this stuff, perhaps years and years stored or possibly bottled up, comes to the fore, in seconds. And it and does to all at least once in a life.

Do we count down or count up? Do we remove ourselves when we've had enough, when it becomes too difficult to how or why to move on and find a way to lend a hand to someone who surely needs a helping hand?

It's a quick decision someone might regret for the rest of their life, understanding how time works which seldom
do, even though we already do.

When to say yes, when to say no.
When to make a friend instead of reading the cover of a book, when to take a chance.

I like this poem! Lot to think about here!
Six, like sixty, and down to one. I used to be a runner,
I could run 440 yards in just under a minute when I was at my fastest long ago. I remember the fire in the lungs and the ache in the sinewy muscle and a pounding in the cranial region. It was a memory of body and mind
and release of stress that always made me think clearer than before.

Great poem!
Peace!
