Silence And Me

Contributed by waynster on Monday, 30th March 2015 @ 02:59:07 PM in AEST
Topic: oops

Not able to speak
silence has become my tone
I feel the same way as a king
that has been torn from his throne

Nothing utters from my mouth
trembling lips hold back every word
In a panic from confusion
emotions that is really absurd

Temples throbbing
I feel my brain swell with a sense of inner rage
I no longer have to wonder
how any animal feels, locked up in a cage

Choking on my thoughts
I just can’t say what I want to say
The silence is provoking me
more and more each day

I find myself wandering
not knowing what to do
I am never very hungry
having all these words I can chew

Eventually the silence will go away
my thoughts will be words to speak
I will once again go from being a lonely wanderer
to cheerful and unique

Being able to say
what’s on my mind each and every day
Allows me to stay in tune
so I don’t have to hear the nothing, silence has to say
