A Lesson Learned
One day my car refused to start,
And no way would it run.
If it had only been a horse,
I'd shoot it with a gun.
But using my diagnostic skills,
Applying what I know.
I figured it would not take long,
Before that car would go.
I got my wrenches from the trunk,
And took some things apart.
I thought the flapper doodle valve,
Was stuck before the start.
So when I pushed the plunger in,
The wankle came undone.
The spring that holds the pop flange down,
Had jumped the number one.
I never gave it any thought,
As I undone the screw.
I slowly lifted up the lid,
And out the dingle flew.
It hit me right between the eyes,
I jumped back in my fright.
The hood latch caught me on the head,
And,”Bang” out went the light.
When I awoke the sun was down,
The wrench still in my hand.
It took a while to clear my head,
So I could understand.
The doodle valve, the plunger rod,
The wankle and the spring.
Are held in place by just one screw,
And that means everything.
Remember that beneath the hood,
The dingle coil lies.
So keep your head out of the way,
And watch out for your eyes.
In spite of everything I knew,
And all that came to pass,
The only thing I really learned,
My car was out of gas.

Yes indeed, just one screw is the answer.
It's okay if it's kind of loose, why then all you need is to tighten it, but lord have mercy on your soul
if you remove it completely.
There's only one perfect screw, oh you can go to the auto part store or even have the car towed to the dealership
sure, they got replacement screws
but as we mechanics all know, there's only one perfect
screw / none of the others will fit
exactly the same way.
And you need a good wrench to jiggy it
well said...
BTW I have this screw drivers which I believe are only for nerds
Peace! |

Bravo! What a fun read! Great ending too!
You had me in stitches..really excellent. Nonsense is difficult to write because you have to construct you own reality to make it work. Well done!
Hats off to you for a great swat at what a little knowledge can get us into!!
