The Wingless Flight

In this searching world
full of searchers,
mine is special
but only to me.
In youth I marvelled
at my rareness,
but age has shown I'm not unique.
So many questions
how unanswered-
so many answers,
far more than queries;
we restless souls,
always flitting
the frantic dance of mindless fairies.
Now I know I'm but one more,
another questing sprite,
pondering imponderables,
flying high the wingless flight.

My dear friend
This is such a beautiful poem and so true. Yes we all think we are the only one on this flight yet we not. We keep searching till the day we die. Great write. God bless
Greetings

Crazy good
We all grow up this way- after graduation and you get near 25- 30- no one cares. Love it!
In youth I marveled
at my rareness,
but age has shown I'm not unique. |

Quite a great write. Know that each of us is in fact unique, but our normalities and formalities are what drag us back into the seas of conformity, a static sea of white noise.
I don't think I'll ever feel ununique. With my passion for music and films, It's hard to have much conversation. A large percentage of my music is from other cultures and different musical styles. A large part of the peoples I show my taste in music too, often act like I'm crazy, or complain because they can't listen to a song that's not in English. Lol
If your poetry is not a good sign that you're unique, then I don't know what will be. ;) |
