Squatting Like A Scavenger....

16:03:2015....

I see him squatting like a scavenger.
I could almost wonder where's his handler?
How cruel has mankind become?
When had all this begun?
You might ask where are his parents?
I ask where is society's presence?
How little do we care?
How little do we share?
We made him poor.
We trampled him to the floor.
Yes us with our empires.
Sucking out his lifeline like vampires.
We created this absurd poverty.
And yes it's instilled by the minority.
Yet the majority strive for riches.
Hunting wealth like witches.
Not ones sparing a thought for the poor.
Who have to scavenge off our floor.

RR

It reminds of something I heard someone say yesterday when they were talking about the Republicans (US) targeting the Social Security again to cut benefits. He said something like, "It's like reverse Robin Hood. Stealing from the poor and giving to the rich." It is a sad sad world at times but I believe there is still good and that's sorta hard for me to say.

I like the way you wrote this and the feeling behind it. Stick up for the little guy!!! Nicely done.

Thanks,

Tim

In a world where all can have food, and so many have none?
Greed is the ruling power, and man's materialism and wealth its recruits
There is so much, we all don't have the chance to see
So much, that's caused by those who claim to be "free"
The horrible thing, is that wealth is not balanced,
It tilts at random times and intervals
Moving like the static in an old antenna television
Except there is some incredibly dark spots,
Ones that never change, never gain
Never know the luxury of white, the all-encompassing color
Corporations, businesses, companies, heck, even presidents,
Offer tributes as aid, but only for PR stunts
$.10 for every box top I mail in Kellog's?
Why not just assume $.50 for everyone and provide it anyway?

I don't want to end this in an "oh well..." Because it should be ended in a "What the hell?!" I'be considered joining the peace corps for a while, maybe I'll do that. :)

heart wrenching photo! strong message, i wonder
where are his parents? did the photographer buy him a
sandwich? in this world today it angers me too many
pictures and videos and not helping- just observing! all of
history has had savage poverty yet times now seems
more savage in this light,

hugs n' love nessa
