You By My Side

Contributed by JamesStockdale on Sunday, 15th March 2015 @ 09:26:47 AM in AEST
Topic: LovePoetry

It's a little bit scary
The feelings that I hide
Those that reside
In my heart and in my mind

Life is a changing before my very eyes
It will no longer be just me
But you and I

I'm just an average man
Who asked you my lady
To take my hand

My life was so complicated
Empty and alone
Like a king without throne
Until you came along

You gave me a calmness
Peace deep inside
You broke through my hardened skin
Where my hidden emotions did reside

Life with you is a
Magic carpet ride
Until then I await the altar
With you by my side

The anticipation and appreciation of love and what it has to offer. Nice. :)

//Is this another Timmy/Jimmy parallel? It/'/s because the date you posted is the anniversary of a day I met you know who.

*queue the Twilight Zone music*

Or it/'/s just a coincidence. 🤔

Anyways, this is the kind of poem that melts their hearts.

Nicely done 👍
