People power and glory

Contributed by Kimmy79 on Wednesday, 4th March 2015 @ 06:26:55 AM in AEST
Topic: abstract

Spin the bottle
It's all a gamble
Sometimes life is
Too hot to handle
People are losing power
And their moods
Are either sunshine or showers
Too many talkers, too many stalkers
People whispering in ears
Motives unclear
Some of them are sneaky
Most of them are creepy
All looking for a hit
An underbelly of misfits
All looking for attention
Wanting their names mentioned
We've heard the gossip
That they've muttered
And this won't get the
Parsnips buttered
They Argue fight Moan and cuss
Amusing monkey's
Here to entertain us.

Excellent poem. That describes more people now than in my early years.

Nicely done! At one part you're pointing out our human nature, which is that of an animal's.
It seems we're evolving into an even bigger circus with our modern society :P

Sometimes life to me feels like a game of chess.
You make a move, someone else counters it, so you make another.
Entertaining write
