The girl who used to always smile
hid her anger under her rib cage
Ignored it until it grew like vines
and wrapped around her heart
Til it finally burst up through her
mangling her facial muscles
For her the glass is half empty
or maybe it's really half full
Still she won't drink because
She knows all too well that
even a bit of water can help
the vines continue to grow
People say to chop them
but then she might have to
face the monster at
both ends of the vines
H e r s e l f
Which is scarier than
any giant

Pretty damn cool poem! Love the graphic imagery!
Hopefully her smiles come back soon and the demons...er, vines go away.
