Soft velvety grass
Under your feet
Spongy moss
Between your toes
Various trees
Fallen leaves
Sounds of a forest
A flowing stream
Sweet smelling air
A blowing breeze
Sun high in the sky
Magic to the eye
Up ahead
A well-worn path
Sights and sounds
Nature abound
Birds and bees
Amongst other things
Creepy crawlies
Frogs in the trees
Come every season
Things must change
All the more reason
To visit once again

Super poem. I used to take my grand children for walks in the woods, but they grew up, and now I'm probably too old to protect them. We loved it though. |

It's a refreshing reminder of why we should try to connect more to nature.
Even just reading this makes me want to take a walk outside. |

It can't happen too often and it is never tiring. |

I like this poem, James. If you dig into my stuff you 'll find quite a few poems on this very subject, written of a similar style.
cool, cool.
