Elves dwell on forested lands, in the region's center
Humans live triangularly outside those hallowed woods
While the elves live lives of peace, joy, and delight in pleasure,
The humans seek wealth and power, in every sense of measure
Elian was an elf, who brought joy to souls all around,
Who had himself a wife, and three children that she bore him
His extended family had made a travel, to the outskirts of the woods
In efforts to start a settlement, one to call their own
For weeks they worked, buildings raised and erected
Crops were planted. and herds and flocks were then tended
The joyous nature of the elves made this homeland quite grand
Everyone loving everyone, and everyone of equal stand
Until one night, the dark sky brought winds of change
Dropping gleaming burning arrows upon the homes of elves
Raiders stampeded in on equine waves of pain
Leaving bodies, souls, family and loved ones slain
Elian was caught, by an arrow to his eye
Whipped with scalding chains, and his skin slashed with blades
Clubbed in the head and left for dead, certain to have died
But his raging soul like his joyous life, refused to give up hope
His spirit clung on, as he lost his worldly self
When he came to within a most unworldly plane
Encompassed by a black void, and faint mists of dim aether
There stood a slender figure, plaster face with charcoal eyes
Full-bodied midnight leather, and a black fog from its neck and head
An oracle, voice, echo of a god, the God of evil and destruction
The echo of that god, granted Elian a second chance
And allowed him to survive again, to exact his own revenge
But the God of destruction had intentions of its own
It sought to kill the lives of men, and even burn all their homes
So Elian went forth from embers, burning skin all throughout
Slowly decaying along with who he was, for he was now Akuum
