Here we are, two people sharing the same space
But among many things we are different in race
So at first glance, we are together, but not the same
While things like race, creed, and skin seem to divide
Keep in mind, we are both human kind
How are we alike, what can you detect?
We first must get to know each other, before we can connect
And this takes time, space and understanding
This is a process, you can't be demanding
Both below our feet, mud
Both in our veins, blood
Both in our hearts, compassion
Doesn't that give you satisfaction?
Both in our minds, creativity
So feel now the connectivity
Now, when you dig deep, and get under
You'll find that we, in fact, are brothers
