A Speck Of Sand

Contributed by JamesStockdale on Friday, 20th February 2015 @ 11:52:21 PM in AEST
Topic: EmotionalPoetry

Just a speck of sand
That's all I am

Miles and miles to roam
Nowhere to call my home

Softly tumbling
Through the sky
With ebb and flow
To a world unknown

Just a speck of sand
Wind blown amongst the land
Final destination still unknown

On my way
Far from home
To a greener place
The promise land

A future yet realized
A timeless span
In God's hand
I shall remain

A speck of sand
Is all I am

oh what a speck of sand
you are
I think I'll set you aside
to one day roam into a passing
cloud and fall in a snowstorm
In San Francisco

Great Poem!

Peace!

In the vastness of the universe, I guess that we are all just specks of wind-blown sand, destination unknown. But without a speck of sand, there would be no Sahara. So all specks are important. May you come to rest in your promised land. A fine job, got me thinking.

To me this was how insignificant we are in the vast universe.

Even if I got it wrong, it's so beautifully written and has definitely got that flow thing going on!

Nicely done.

Tim

It's like I can get different meanings out of this but still in the vastness of it all, no matter how important we are to ourselves, we truly are one dot in the universe.

I can feel the emotion in this.

Another note, Miles and miles to roam
Nowhere to call my home

That reaches out and slaps me. I can really relate because back in 2012, I was actually homeless for a while.

Keepa writin'!

Tim
