They'll place you along with the rest of them
The stories of old and no longer for edification are told
Deem you a hero but that is as far as it goes
Beyond paper your existence counts no more
They'll twist the tales and contort the truth
Equating the miracles with exaggeration
Inside I shudder and demand an explanation
For this mythological justification
Yet when the door opens I gather my wits
Seeking you in mind and spirit
I tell you of all the philosophy intended for my indoctrination
And you assure me it is their words riddled with exaggeration
I will never separate my faith from the task
Concealed it may seem yet within is at work
Granting me classroom wisdom as I participate
Reminding me that the spiritual seed of mine shall not die

Wonderful! "Reminding me that the spiritual seed of mine shall not die" a fabulous line.
So very good to see you on here. I haven't been as attendant as I want to be, so it did my heart good to see Ms. Deidra Carmichael on the board.

I'll take the sermon on the mount, then exit stage left. |
