MR INDRID COLD IS ON THE SILVER LINE PLEASE HOLD

Contributed by alicewhite on Thursday, 12th February 2015 @ 08:27:46 PM in AEST
Topic: Event

Mr Cold jumped through my looking glass saying" hello
I wear a hat
and I wear all black
but all that matters is grey
do you stand under what I say?"

I saw his phone calling me as I slept
he crept, hacking into my consciousness
then through my looking glass he leapt
while back to back we faced each other

kid goat maiden crone and cereal mother

like a moth to the flame with no bushel for cover.

I froze computer hacked screaming
downloading software biochemically,
syntax synapses connectng consciously streaming

"Mr Indrid Cold is on the silver rainbow line please hold".

"red clown down white rabbit hole, golden circus ring operator, I am the liquid engineer, can I help to connect you ?"
ring ring ring
"Mr COLD is ready for you now ,
please stay online,
putting you through to fractal space time "

The liquid engineers... I can't wrap my head around what they may be...

This poem makes me think, that Mr. Silver is a Schizophrenic personality, because of two things. "All that matters is grey" or grey matters, brains. He wears black, that's how he's represented/dressed, his fashion, his personality, but he mentions that which matters is grey, and also "hops through the looking glass", which while being a big part of the Alice in Wonderland story, I now realize, I'm not so sure I know what a looking glass is. Be it a window, mirror, magnifying glass, eyeglasses, etc.. But in this case, considering the first point, I think, eyes, as they reflect light on the surface, much like a window, but light passes through them, and allow us to see outside ourselves, much like windows in our homes. Thus, a personality from inside the narrator's head, leaping out to become someone physical, be it delusion, or be it reality, in a wonderous sense. It's a fun idea. :)

The poem in majority, I still don't quite get, but I can appreciate it as for what I can get and see. :)

And now I think to myself, if all that matters is grey, and he wears black, is he not eccentric? Analyzing is so much fun, and with a method of perceiving like the one I have, the analyzing is necessary, and there's plenty to keep me busy! :D

I find this a very intelligent poem almost schizophrenic in its connotations. Very clever and imaginative writing. Well done
