Truth be told,
Dying old,
I lacked the soul
To be bold,
For when I died,
It was inside,
Yet aimlessly,
On I tried...
I tried, I tried,
And then I cried,
For inside I found I`d died.

I feel you...I feel this poem. You are coming to wisdom. Only by acknowledging sorrow and loss can you come to appreciate joy and find yourself.
Please keep writing . You will find poetry to be very cathartic to the soul.
When you write, forget everything except your mind, you hand and your pen. The stream flowing most smooth is one without rocks.

This write becomes stronger with each re-read. The title, everything, works really well. Keep writing it out.
Wonderful, succinct expression.
