He can see inside me
He knows I’m truly sorry for what I’ve done
Just because I don’t tell him directly
Does that mean I can’t be his little one?
And because I’m scared, here on Earth
And cannot foreclose to anyone my sins
Does that mean that when I knock at his door
I will not be let in?
If I’m forced to keep a secret
So dark it makes fear a daily resident of my veins
Will he deny me Christ
Because of this humanly fear he created in the first place?
And if my mind is completely lost
A mind created by the Lord
If the pain drives it to break
Paying the one debt that I can’t afford
Shall I be sent to an even worse hell
Than the hell on Earth that I serve?
Will I be shunned into darkness
Getting the torture that I deserve?
Shall I be denied
A light I never knew
All because I’m unworthy
To try and speak to you?

| I've never been a religious man. I've always felt that the values given in the scripture were the virtuous ones that we should all live by everyday. I feel that God is within us all. So for forgiveness you must only seek it in yourself first. Even though I don't follow organized religion I do love the poem. |

very powerful stuff. i applaud again. great write sis. ewwwy! i just sneezed and got sneezy stuff all over our kitty! haha. remember: you're not unworthy of anything. God loves you no matter what...and so do i! love, peace, and chicken grease!
