anguished

Waves gently rolling to the shore;
I look out from atop of the lighthouse,
And see the calmness the night has brought.
Oh, like the sailors who used to go to sea,
I watch from here for a sign of what's to come....
The moonlight shines upon the water here,
And I know the end is near for me....or maybe you.
I am growing weaker by the day,
And sought for solitude atop this old lighthouse,
People say that sometimes you hear a bell toll
I don't know about all that, just that I am here;
And as I say goodbye to the cruel world outside;
I will hide in this lighthouse til the next man comes
And takes away all the serenity which I found.

By writing about our troubles we can often cleanse ourselves of the bad and welcome in the good.
That's what you seem to be doing here.

Some sad lines here. Some very visual lines (me likes!!!). Even some peace (for that serenity). I really like this!
Thank you,
