Leaving Unannounced

Contributed by waynster on Monday, 26th January 2015 @ 10:14:08 PM in AEST
Topic: oops

What if I were to die tomorrow
how would you all remember me
Would it bring the day full of sorrow
full of tears from a certain memory

Every day
each one of us, set memories in stone
Making friends along our path
to each friend, making special memories of our own

If you were to die tomorrow
sorrow would fill my beloved heart
Many memories would flood my mind
of our friendship right from the start

Tears would fill my eyes
with every loving thought of you
Also trying to find joy inside
as that is what you would want everyone to do

As you would look down upon us
an eerie feeling each of us would feel
We would certainly mourn your leaving
to every one of us, it would be a great big deal

If it were me, up in the heavens
having left you all behind
I would want you all to rejoice
Through memories, happiness you each would find

We all need to enjoy this life we have
doing our best and making a good impression along the way
There will be a time when our numbers are called
it wasn't meant forever here to stay

“Never hesitate to tell the ones you love, I love you”
