My Tasty Lunch

These woods are deep, dark;
full of surprises 'round every trunk-
nymphs to steal my soul from me,
to lead, you see, to lies and bunk.
My vision, now rightly set, decades in the making-
lens of purity revealing this loaf of life
I'm baking.
Before, when I the only worker-
the recipe to fall or rise on my hunch-
of late I've come to know my maker
and now enjoy a divinely tasty lunch.

much better than the old pepperoni we used to buy before spending all day in the wood
love the play on words you use, nymph and lens and
bake
I find myself a dishwasher to the lone breakfast cook
in the diner where no one goes to eat
and yet the dirty dishes keep coming somehow
and I'm washing the plates scrubbing each one
before I sticks them in the machine
And the chef comes to me and says
Hey man, we got no clean plates
LOL, no man, I really like this poem
I heard him say
Good one buddy!
Peace! |
