So cold inside
Try to hide it
Keep that defroster on
Don't want faint portraits
Mudding the way
No...we can't have that
Turn the frown around
they all say
And ONE does
until no ONE is looking
The warmth and the
palm trees on their
fake beaches fade.
I turn away
and brush off the snow.

Iiiiii 'mmm shaking with cold as I read this
well d'ddd'dd'one
you know the defroster don't cut it
you start to see things late at night
as they aren't
cause it don't work just right
And maybe, just maybe, that's a good
thing / snow is like a blanket
and there's no more windshield fluid
left
in the tropics I guess
this one is great!
Peace! |

No...we can't have that.
I feel like I could write some sort of War and Peace-sized essay just on those 3 lines alone...I mean, wow!!!
Then you bowled me over with that sharp ending.
This is a great piece, very emotive, and well-written.
