Who Am I

Contributed by JamesStockdale on Tuesday, 20th January 2015 @ 01:05:32 PM in AEST
Topic: Lifepoems

Have you ever wondered
Who you really are

Are you from
This land
Or have you
Traveled from afar

Perhaps a soul
Dropped from a fallen star

The Bible and its scholars
They all tell us so
We are destined
To heaven and or hell
Nobody knows

Could it be
We simply are
Soft fleshy robots
Wirelessly controlled
By others in the sky

It isn't clear
To me at all
We just maybe
Software, flesh, and bones
From somewhere unknown

Interesting write
I like your analogy about the robots.
I eave you in response a few lines from my poem "See Who I Am"

"I once wished I were someone else
like that guy in the movies
who always gets the girls
or has the best friends
A crowd's gathered around
granting all his needs
but that's not who I am"

I like what you did it's thought provoking and not the least bit pretentious. My favorite piece you've done so far. Catching, clever...

wow it is as if we are thinking the same thoughts, a universal consciousness accessed synchronicity of the singularity , love this, My thoughts are yours here and your thoughts are mine, or my house is your house and your house is mine x

A tough subject with no same answer for all 7 billion plus souls here on this 3rd rock from the sun.

You did a good job addressing a great topic.

Well done!

// Have you got fifteen hours? I`ve read and heard so much about this subject or similar subjects. This is right up my alley.

"We are Borg. You will be assimilated. Resistance is futile."

Love it, Jimmy.

We only find out through adversity. Screw the guessing game.
